Why a new church in Vail?
There are over 43,000 people living in Vail, Corona, Rita Ranch, and the Rincon Valley, but only about 15 churches. The need for gospel-preaching, Christ-exalting churches in southeast Tucson has never been higher.
EXALTING JESUS.
FAITHFUL TO THE SCRIPTURES.
OBEDIENT TO THE GREAT COMMISSION.
Our theology, straight from the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, stems from the historic Protestant Reformation, and sings in chorus with faithful believers throughout church history.
We believe the Christian faith is best summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith and its catechisms.
Meet the McLaughlins
Chris and Erica McLaughlin met in high school while growing up in Burbank, California. Chris grew up around the entertainment industry and was particularly drawn to animation. After beginning schooling in Character Animation, he discerned a call to local church ministry.
Chris is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary and ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). He has served in various local church roles since 1999 in California, Arizona, and Indiana.
Chris and Erica married in summer of 2003 and have four kids together — Taylor, Sierra, Caleb, and P.J. Erica is a trained educator, and has served a number of different public and private schools in her career. She’s also a wonderful writer and often is sharing life’s best (and worst) moments on social media.
The McLaughlins are excited to be back in Vail, following the Lord Jesus’ call on their lives to plant this new church. God has already been at work to prepare the way. Read the story below!
